In a unexpected partnership that defies traditional forecasts, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of banned ceremonies and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine cult.
The mission concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Bonus Content
Players who finish the quest will acquire an unique katana alongside numerous items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
