The United Kingdom is set to progress with employing the total value of seized Russian holdings to bolster Ukraine's military campaign, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has stated.

In a shared declaration, the officials of the Britain, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany emphasized that this unified step would increase strain on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and compel the Russian Federation to participate in talks.

They further noted that the decision would be carried out in tight collaboration with the America.

United Kingdom sanctions have frozen more than £25bn of Russian funds since Russia initiated its full-scale invasion against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. However, until now, funds provided to Ukraine using Russia's assets had only been taken from gains and dividends accrued on them.

Sir Keir informed President Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were aligned in their goal to push forward toward using the complete amount of the seized Russian sovereign holdings to halt hostilities.

He stated that additional sanctions over the next period would increase the strain on Russia.

This announcement is subsequent to European officials convened in the Danish capital previously to debate utilizing seized Russia's holdings for a €140 billion credit to Ukraine.
