Ex- Doctor Faces Assault Charges Involving Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors have stated that a ex- doctor stands accused of carrying out assaults against thirty-eight victims who were patients.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – some of which involve acts against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 and 2021.
One senior prosecutor stated, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
These allegations come after what investigators called a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

Prosecutors outline the 45 charges include:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
