Netflix Casts Ideal Star for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Third Season

Netflix announced Tuesday that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. The role has the ability to transform into an exact copy of any person they’ve touched with their dominant hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that character reimagined as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action series, unlike the source material and cartoon version.
The new cast member will work alongside a number of recently announced actors set to bring the organization to reality, featuring head Mr. 0, brought to life by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the ensemble as the ruler of Alabasta.
Even though Bon Clay is a key figure of Baroque Works, the character will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Considering season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this signals a notable change in the placement of their first appearance, one that could suggest additional alterations to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the role. The platform’s adapted One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
