Norris Tops Oscar Piastri in Brazilian Practice Session
Lando Norris has outscored his teammate at each of the previous five grands prix.
The McLaren driver just pipped team-mate and championship contender the Australian for the fastest time in the final moments of practice at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Norris, who took the title advantage from his teammate by a single point after his victory in Mexico City a fortnight back, outpaced the Melbourne-born driver by a tiny margin of 0.023secs.
Until that point, Oscar Piastri had been the quickest of the McLaren pair during the running before the sprint shootout due at 18:30 GMT.
Max Verstappen, the only other driver in the points battle, sitting with a 36-point deficit behind Norris, ended up in 17th place as his team followed a unique setup.
Verstappen's team-mate the Japanese driver was the only driver to crash, albeit lightly, when he lost control at the fourth corner during the early running.
Tsunoda slid over the track edges before spinning across the gravel trap, and was lucky to get away with just a slight brush of the barrier.
Ferrari's the seven-time champion also spun, at the very end of the session, rotating twice through the fast downhill corner approaching the final corner on to the main straight.
Hamilton wrapped up in 19th place, just behind team-mate the Monegasque driver.
Norris and Piastri were significantly quicker of the other competitors, with Nico Hulkenberg's car in third, 0.619secs behind the Australian's time.
The Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso was fourth quickest, with the Sauber of Gabriel Bortoleto fifth from the Mercedes of George Russell and the Alpine of Gasly and Williams' Carlos Sainz.
